I could sit here and go on a fucking rampage, but you know what? That would be just a waste of energy at this point. DC (namely Didio) has spent the past 9 years doing to the Post-CoIE DCU (especially with the stuff he can get away with) what Wayne does to Bertnelli's ID. If the writing hadn't been on the wall already, it certainly is now.

But you know what? If Didio wants the most "iconic" parts of DC to resemble his childhood, then let him have it. The Medium is bigger than what he publishes.

It's funny really - back when COIE changed the whole DCU there were quite a few disgruntled letterhacks bitching about this type of thing, and now it's happening again. I wasn't annoyed then and I'm not now: the old stories are not invalidated by retcons and hopefully we'll get an interesting new stauts quo to play in.

No, it was ALWAYS Helena Wayne from Earth 2 in the DCnU. Helena Bertinelli was just an alias she used. The Huntress mini ended on that revelation.
