Well, we're still in the 2011-2012 season right now. About to head into the Playoffs. The 2012-2013 season should be starting in October.

Edit: I thought this was the NHL thread. Ooops. :P

Um, the 2012-2013 NFL season is about to start, sort-of. The NFL Draft is at the end of April. then there are summer camps and stuff, and then then Pre-season starts like in August and the regular season starts in September.

They'll be worth watching this year. Harbaugh is a good coach, and they really look like they improved via free agency this year.

Moss will bring some added excitement and added pressure on Smith, although if he returns to being bad Randy, I don't see Harbaugh hesitating in kicking him out of the locker-room.

The 9ers not getting Peyton will benefit the team in the long run. I just think Manning and Harbaugh would have butted heads much like Childress and Favre.

I'll also be laughing my ass off when Manning is carted off the first quarter of the season and Denver has no back up to replace him. Methinks Elway outsmarted himself on this one.

Good point. I meant next season. Here's what I'm talking about. Sportscenter was so good in the 80s. They only showed highlights. Now a non story like Vick going to the Eagles is hyped to the max. When Vick came to the Eagles his career QB rating was 70 the same as Rex Grossman's. That should have been a non story. ESPN covers the NFL draft so they spend half Sportscenter talking about it for 2 weeks. Don't care about the draft? Tough toenails, buddy. I gave up and get all my news now from PTI, the net, the NBC Sports channel, the Dan Patrick show, the MLB network, and the NHL network.

Bears sign Michael Bush making the franchising of Matt Forte all the stranger, Forte could end up in some bizzarre draft day trade.

It's draft day.
How will the Browns disappoint chris for another year?
Who will make the best trade of the day?
Who will make the worst trade?
Will Osi stay a giant by the end of tomorrow?

Browns traded up to #3.

Vikings get #4, and the Browns 4th, 5th, and 7th rd picks.

I like it.

The Browns had 13 picks this year. Sure, the Vikings weren't going to take Richardson, but if the Browns really want him, the trade makes sense. The 4th, 5th, and 7th rd picks don't really mean much as those rarely pan out anyway, and the Browns have a ton of picks.. and moving up ensures that no other team sneaks in and trades up ahead of the Browns to take their guy.

That's all assuming they traded up to get Richardson.

If they get Kalil, I will kill myself.

A very interesting first round. Lots of trades and The browns still manage to disappoint Chris.

I feel really bad for McCoy. I hope he gets the chance to shine and be next years Matt Flynn.

I was glad the Bills got Gilmore. I saw three major needs and they addressed one.

1. Offensive tackle (looks like there's some good ones in round 2 to be had)
2. Wide receiver (same here)
3. Secondary depth
