I don't think it was anywhere close to perfection. Not as a movie. As a series of moment meant to cater to fans, sure. It was fun and people will Marvel at seeing these characters on screen in a shared universe for the first time.
It's called the Transformers Effect.
Once the initial lovefest is over, people will actually analyze it as a film, and in those respects, it's decent and nowhere near perfect.
