FINALLY getting to catch up!
This episode's set 20 years in the future, and it's not pretty. There's an invasion in the past and they've just thawed Walter...
AND Desmond from LOST is in it!

Man that episode was awesome. It was, at least to me, to see William Bell show up. Didn't see that coming. I wanna know what he did to Olivia.
Walter is a bad ass hacking off Bells hand.
Love it.

Me too! And it threw me for a loop/confused me for a second when
we saw Peter there. But the "We need him" wasn't referring to Belly, I take it. Wonder if that means we'll get to see another Leonard Nemoy appearance (after his acting retirement)?
Not at all surprised about the reveal of the agent being Peter's daughter. She reminds me a lot of Olivia, who I assume is meant to be her mom. Assuming she wasn't ambered with them... is she dead? Doubt it, we've seen an Olivia funeral before. Left behind? Maybe... guess this is what the rest of the season will be about... and I'm perfectly fine with that!

well Olivia has to be around for a bit to have the kid... i read a theory that September does something to prevent Olivia from dieing and that's why he's not there

So I'm hearing that Fringe just got renewed for a 13 episode final season. Thoughts?

I didn't even know it was in danger of getting cancelled.

It sucks that it'll be a short season but at least we're getting an ending.
Last week's episode was crazy! And that's what I love so much abour Fringe, the can turn the show on it's ear and it fits and expands the wider story.

Finished the season.
Very disappointing season. Might be the worst one. As bad as Season 1 started out, the second half was terrific.. but this was just up and down all year long. Some great episode spread throughout, but it never really had any momentum.
The 2036 episode was great.. but it completely threw the pacing of the buildup to the finale off. I figured the rest of the season would take place in the future or something, but it was just a one-off. I guess the finale makes it evident that this future will be dealt with next season.. but it just didn't work for me pacing-wise.
And the whole thing with Bell in the finale was alright.. but I never once felt in the final two episodes that this was a season finale story. The plot was certainly large scale enough, but it played out like a normal Fringe episode.
All that said, if they do start the Observer takeover next season and we get back to 2036 by season's end to finish that plotline, I will be very happy. Loved that episode.
If I had to rank the seasons:
Season 2 - 10/10
Season 3 - 8/10
Season 1 - 6/10
Season 4 - 5/10

I cannot believe Nina Sharp Glinda the Good Witched' Olivia
"You've had the power all along, my dear"
However, Liefeld is an enigma wrapped in a pouch-filled, muscular, footless conundrum.

That made me laugh.
The ending was anticlimactic, but after killing the main character it would be.
Looking forward to next season with the invasion and the Fringe Division leveling up like with the other universe.

They said next season will be a full-on sprint to the conclusion, with no filler. So I look forward to it. It can't be worse than this season was.
