I finished off the Steiner comp today with one intriguing match. Thus far, this DVD had been hit or miss. So how would the last match rate?
It was the Steiners and Scott Norton vs. The Road Warriors - Hawk, Animal, and POWER WARRIOR~! The match played out as you might expect. The Steiners and the regular Warriors refused to sell for each other. Norton was a badass. Power Warrior ended up being the face-in-peril. In the end, both the Doomsday Device and the Steiner Bulldog were not enough to end the match. Instead, the finish was an avalance powerslam by Hawk giving the Road Warriors the win. It was a fun match.
Overall, the DVD is easily worth $1.50 to see Scott hit Vader with a frankensteiner. But outside of that? It's not the best comp I've watched so far.
Match of the Day goes to the Steiner Bros/Scott Norton vs. The Road Warriors, of course.
That sounds like a good match.

It also reminds me of something I read in Road Warrior: Animal's biography. The tag team of The Hellraisers (Hawk as Hawk Warrior and Kensuke Sasaki as Power Warrior for those of you who may not be familiar with the name) came out during a period when Animal was out for a months long period with an injury. Hawk apparently didn't tell Animal that he was forming the new tag team. Animal found out when a reporter, who was interviewing, him asked him what he thought of the Hellraisers. According to the book, Animal felt that Hawk had gone behind his back with his actions and that caused a rift between the two road Warriors. Apparently they didn't even speak to each other for close to a year because of it.
You might have already known this Sixx, but I'm not sure that everybody here does and I figured it would be an interesting factoid for those that didn't.
