Especially for Tottenham.

The Derby tomorrow has me so nervous. Thought we'd be home with the 8 point lead but now it all comes down to this match :|

I don't know. The Guardian has an interesting take on it though: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012 ... on-england

I think this has been badly mishandled. And I think that Hodgson is a disastrous choice.

Arouna Kone from Sevilla cracks me up. In his contract with Sevilla it sais that if he scores 18 goals or more at Levante (on loan there), his contract will automatically be renewed by 1 year at Sevilla. But Kone himself doesnt want this to happen, cause he want to stay at Levante.

Against Granada he scored his 17th goal and afterwards he took his shirt off so he got a yellow card and got suspended for the next match. He then "injured" himself straight after the goal so he couldnt play the rest of the match. Doesn't look like he is gonna score any more goals this season :lol:

Podolski to Arsenal has been confirmed:

Still unclear whether he's a striking partner for RvP or a replacement :P

Good to see teams doing deals now, what with Chelsea getting Marko Marin and now Podolski.

I have to say I'm excited to see them in the Premier League, and if Podolski can replicate his Germany form for the Gunners, it could be the start of something new for them.

Yeah it's a very promising transfer period all over:

* Marin to Chelsea
* Podolski to Arsenal
* Kagawa wants a move to the Premier League this summer. He rejected their final contract offer and will be leaving. Kagawa has already said that he wants to play for Man Utd and I'd welcome him there. Better him than Na$ri...a lot cheaper too. Nothing locked in though.
* Hazard wants a move to England too.

* Paul Green (Derby) and Jason Pearce (Portsmouth) to Leeds as I'm sure Punchy is aware.

Rumor:
* Belhanda to Arsenal. Though Dalglish is also heavily interested.
* Jan Vertonghen is Wegner's next priority after securing Podolski
* Liverpool want Lavezzi
* Liverpool also want Rasmus Elm

Elsewhere in the world:
* Dante and Shaqiri have both signed with Bayern so no Shaqiri to England.
* Schone to Ajax
* Real Madrid really, really wants Ibrahimovic and Higuain could be the bait to sweeten the deal.
* Van Bommel to PSV is in the works.

I hate Younes Belhanda because he scored a last-minute volley for Napoli to keep my Lazio team out of the Champion's League on Football Manager. He's evil!

Willians from Flamengo to Udinese. Don't see him nearly as much as I'd like but he's a decent player.
Chelsea are planning another attempt at landing Jovetic from Fiorentina
Juventus is looking at Kalou

United to officially sign Howard Webb :P

I watched both Man City vs Newcastle and Man Utd. vs Swansea over at a friend's house this morning. Both were good games, although City/Newcastle was the better of the two. I can't wait to see how things turn out next week, even though at this point it seems like almost a foregone conclusion that City are going to be champions this year.

I think the smart money is on City now, but I wouldn't put it past QPR to cause an upset. And remember, Mark Hughes is not only ex-United, he was also fired by Man City. I can see some poetry on its way.

Agreed, an upset is possible, but I just don't see it happening.

Not only that, but part of the efforts that got QPR to the Premier League this time included snatching Neil Warnock from Crystal Palace, effectively screwing over my team a little bit right in the middle of their recent financial difficulties. As a result there's a small part of the Palace fan in me that will take a little bit of satisfaction in seeing those efforts effectively not succeed in the end by seeing them get relegated after just one season in the Premiership.

So disappointed about yesterday, even United seemed dejected when they were scoring. The sad thing is that despite a few strong plays Newcastle never looked like they had a chance....especially after Toure's first goal.

I don't think we were ever serious this year though, every game was like an experiment where Fergie was throwing everything against the wall to see what would stick regardless of the match's importance. Park had no business starting against City.

I'd say we're going to get more players but I reckon City's going to use that oil money to make us bleed for new players.

FC Koln fans respond to relegation by bombing their own stadium:

Jeez...I hope for his sake Podolski got out of there.
