I wish they wouldn't have to make Hispanic people sound like cholos (in the comics too) just to tell us they're Hispanic. Maybe it's different in a Texas border town, but there's a pretty sizable Hispanic community here and any kid who was born here, is middle class and has parents who speak English isn't going to have an accent or throw in Spanish words everywhere unless they're trying hard to be a thug.

It's just another reason why Nu Beetle sucks. :P

As mentioned, she wore jeans in the comics' YJ.

Contrary to what "Captain Retcon" Johns DEMANDS that you believe, Cassie's life does not revolve around Superboy.

Found it less than ideal.

Generally speaking, I don't like it when writers feel they need to jump a story significantly forward in time. It always feels like an excuse to suddenly change the status quo without doing the effort of showing the development of getting there. A lot of people dig that technique, or dig shows that have done it, but I couldn't give a fuck, because I think it's goddamned lazy fucking writing.

But whatever. I liked the first season so damned much that I'm willing to stick with it. If this shit is permanent, I hope it progresses with the same quality of the first season. But this start is not encouraging.

You wonder why people don't talk to you. :smt011

"Hello Megan" irritated me so much that I want the character to go away permanently.

After the explanation of why she did that I have no problem with it.

I know. I've been calling Jaime "Nu Beetle" long before the DCnU ever existed.

I didn't mind it.
I steal quotes from TV shows and movies all the time.

Those times when I mention that I'm saying something in a character's voice??
That's not an affectation... :P

I understand why she did it. Still doesn't change the fact that I don't like the character and think too much time of the show was wasted on her when better character needed screen time.

Agreed. I think it's only generally acceptable to those of us who have read comics and know who these characters are, but anyone who hasn't is probably not getting a few things.

I believe that Jaime Reyes was meant to be the Hispanic version of Peter Parker seeing as how Blue Beetle is for the most part DC's Spiderman analogue( Even though the character existed before Spidey).

GL was excellent again today - loved that Carol turned the ring back in.
The Girlfriends short was spectacular. Loved it.

And the Blue Beetle bio - was just weird. Not the biography just that they kept calling him Hymie instead of Jamie ('jay-me'). Is that how it's supposed to be pronounced?

That's how it's pronounced. The way you're thinking is how you'd pronounce Madrox's name.

I loved the Girlfriends short, they keep getting better and better.

Tee-Roy'd wrote:Holy Poopsicles!! This show just got 1 million more better than it was!! The 5 year time skip forward was brilliant and I love it because now we are getting to see so many more characters and it brought some new questions and status quo's for the entire team. Supposedly 65 new characters are going to be seen this season and in this episode alone we saw:

Nightwing (Dick Grayson)
Batgirl
Lobo
Wondergirl
Blue Beetle
Adam Strange
Tim Drake Robin
Bumble Bee
Beast Boy
Lagoon Boy

and probably others that I am so excited I am forgetting right now. Superboy and Miss Martian are no longer together, because now she is with Lagoon Boy!? How did that happen? I know I am excited to find out! The only original team members we didn't see today were Kid Flash, Aqualad, and Artemis, so when will they show up and if all, I a, curious to find out! I haven't enjoyed a cartoon series as much as I am enjoying Young Justice in a very long time. Finally seeing Nightwing as a prime main event starring role in one the cartoon series is just about the best thing ever for me! This show is just so smartly written and the animation is just top notch. Ok I gotta go cuz I am on my moms computer, vacation has been awesome so far! Talk more when I get back home tomorrow night and watch Young Justice Invasion again, it's the best thing going right now!

I hadn't remembered Artemis in the MIA members. I hope Wally is Flash now!

At first I didn't like the change but as the characters started having moments I turned around on it. Especially with Tim, Beetle, and Lagoon Boy. I really like this huge new team but I'm kind of bummed we got so little time with the original team.

I really liked the Robin/Nightwing relationship.

Adam Strange was a huge surprise and I hope he straps on the jetpack.

One thing I didn’t like was the Superboy hasn’t aged a day.
