Just the person to lecture everyone on how the debate is "settled" about AGW.

Still, that's better than Obama, who, while needling Romney about releasing more tax records, (he's already released many of them), won't release ANY of his college transcripts.

Al Gore doesn't have to be a fantastic student to be a credible spokesperson for Global Warming. Who cares about that, I don't need to know how a car works in order to sell the thing.

Anyways the highly political nature of the research around GW is what makes me question everything about it.

College transcripts and tax records are ...two different things. You know that, right?

Er...you do know that it's about "Transparency", which Obama said he's all about? "Most transparent Presidency ever, and all that. And it's also about what the public needs to know when voting, like---is the candidate a dumb-ass? Or is there something else he doesn't want anyone to see?

Romney released his tax records, Obama refuses to release his college transcripts. Which leads me to believe he's got something to hide. Did he get terrible grades, thus deflating the "genius" label he gave himself and the press ran with?

As for Gore, well, he's just a not too bright guy who figured out how to make a bunch of money off the biggest scam in world history. Which maybe means he's brighter than it appears at first glance...

Transparency? How far does that go? If some right-wing nut demands to see the results of Obama's STD screening and wants his bank ATM number, is he not being "transparent" by keeping those private?

Demanding irrelevant info and being refused access to that info does not constitute a lack of transparency.

By that same token then, not all info becomes irrelevant just because it's in demand. I don't see how academic records are as superfluous as the results form an STD screening.

Shouldn't we elect the most intelligent people to represent us in government rather than just those who are able to raise $1,000,000,000 from industry and special interest groups in order to fund a campaign?

Ah, so it's okay so long as it's a left-wing nut who demands the info from a Republican, but not someone else from a Democrat. Got it.

Sorry, but for a guy who billed his Presidency as the "most transparent ever", and then proceeded to do everything in secret, far more than Bush or Clinton, and criticizes Romney for not releasing his tax records, (when in fact he already has), while refusing to release something very relevant to people's judgment of him---especially since he himself has fostered the image that he's the "smartest President ever", (which is probably news to people like Jefferson, Adams, Washington, and a good many more)---this doesn't fly.

He himself, and his media proxies, brought the whole intelligence thing, so when he refuses to release academic records, (which pretty much every other candidate in modern history has), it raises a red flag.

I didn't do so well on a physical anthropology course 20 years ago. I guess that bars me from ever saying anything about the theory of evolution.
