Dec 2011: Firestorm ranked at 87 out of 387
Jan 2012: Firestorm ranked at 96 out of 408
Feb 2012: Firestorm ranked at 119 out of 388.

Those numbers tell you next to nothing about how well the book is selling.

Take those February numbers, for example. If books 120-388 are selling 6,000 copies and below, and Firestorm is selling 6,001 copies, then guess what?? It ain't selling well. Even if it is "ranked at 119 out of 388".

You'd think someone wouldn't have to explain this sort of thing to people...

Yeah, it's been slipping a bit, but now with Gail off the title, expect it to rebound back up :groucho:

Slipping? Uh, ok... That's one way to put it

Your "explanation" of comic sales amuses me :-D

Okay, smart-guy, let's look at some other numbers then:

in February, Firestorm (ranked 119) sold just over 17000 copies.
Battle Scars ranked at 120 sold just over 16,700 copies
Locke and Key (ranked at 200) sold a bit over 8400 copies
GI Joe 2 (ranked at 250) sold 6300 copies
Archie & Friends Double Digest (ranked dead last at 388) sold just under 1500 copies

Give it to Jurgens.

What do I win?

It's Miss Scarlet, who definitely did not murder anyone in the library with the revolver.

The bottom line though, is that it's one of DC's lowest selling titles and that those 17,000 copies in February put it at a sales level at which most DCU titles get cancelled sooner rather than later. Is it selling? Yes, it's technically selling at some level. However, the bigger question would be, is it selling well? Sadly the answer to that question is no.

Heh, I've been enjoying it, but I'm realistic about those numbers and they're saying that Firestorm is on life support at this time. It's one of the books that i have on my pull that I'm expecting to get cancelled any given month.
