1. This is the big league's gentlemen.
Listen Young Justice is a fine cartoon, but the fact remains these are the side kicks. The Teen Titans, they aren't fighting the big fight most of the time, their just doing some menial mission for Batman or investigating circuses for fleas. Avengers on the other hand deal with global threats for breakfast and lunch and usually top it with a cosmic level threat before they tuck themselves in for the night. If the YJ team fails a mission that just means Batman has to assign it to some other mook, if the Avengers fail a mission it's very possible that the earth might be enslaved by a race of shape shifting aliens for the rest of time.
2. Better guest stars
Yes I love seeing Black Canary or Red Tornado pop up on the screen, or maybe glimpes of Guy Gardner. These are beloved characters. But none of these, I repeat none of these are Aunt Petunia's little boy Ben Grimm, done right for the first time ever in cartoons. That's just the apex of the iceberg here, we have Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, Maria Hill, or the New Guardians of the Galaxy. Just to name a few. We've seen YJ's guest stars before, this is the first time we've seen many of these Marvel characters on screen and the first time many of them have been done right. No one can call themselves a comic fan if they didn't giggle like a school girl when The Thing and Hulk tusseled during the season 2 premiere.
3. Better Characterization
Young Justice did a great job with most of its characters. I personally think they did a very poor job with Wally West, but aside from that they were good. Avengers on the other hand have been pitch perfect, every character embodies what their comic book counterpart is about, and they've done a great job of incorporating unpopular storylines (Hank Pym's mental breakdown) and doing them in a way that people don't hate it.
4. Hulk is actually on the team.
For years we've wanted to see an Avengers team that actually had the Hulk on it for more than 1 issue, this show finally delivered that. And they've also given us what may be one of the funniest versions of the characters I've ever seen.
5. Better Villains
No contest. Sportsmaster, Klarion, Blockbuster, Bane.... These are relatively unknown characters to non comic fans, done well. But Avengers gives you Loki, Ultron, Kang, Doom, Enchantress, Zemo. The greatest hits of Avengers big bads with no end in sight. I know that we've seen Lex Luthor and other more notable villains on Young justice, but not nearly as much as the other characters.
