I get the feeling that Hope is meant to be Jean reincarnated in some way.

Well they brought back Norman Osborn( Who should have stayed dead as far as I concerned) so I wouldn't put it past Marvel to bring back Jean at some point. Plus, I get the feeling that Hope will be revealed as Jean Grey reincarnated.

Nope.

Pretty sure that Starlord lost that bet already.

Maybe they will bring Jean back but they could put her in an alternate universe such as the Ultraverse or team up with the Exiles.

Considering how badly a crap load of characters have been written over the past 8 years at Marvel and DC, death is sometimes a viable alternative to being written horribly.

Quite frankly, if Quicksilver got a Barry Allen style death in AvX I'd be glad to see the character RIP, simply because no one is going to write him as well as PAD and Ostrander did, ever again. He's always going to be the lonely Speedster who doesn't try to get past his demons to become a better person, when he was better than that in the 90's.

Taking that into consideration, taking Pietro off the board with a heroic death wouldn't bother me that much.

Maybe Magneto can blitz him into the sun so he is never heard from again-Never liked Quicksilver myself for the most part. If Marvel needs a Flash equivalent then they could bring back Triathlon.

yes since you know someone who can only run three times as fast as a normal human should be the "flash equivalent"...

That's stupid. Just because no one has written him as well as them since then, doesn't mean no one will again. Taking pieces off the board just because you don't think they can be written well.. :smt011

Might as well just stop following comics entirely, because most characters never reach the highs of their best runs. Very rarely do you see several iconic runs on a character. Certainly not secondary characters like Quicksilver, who aren't now and have never been really strong enough to be stars on their own where they can be developed more.
