Tom Cruise To Replace Hugh Jackman As Van Helsing

Tom Cruise is set to replace Hugh Jackman as the titular character in a new Van Helsing film.

Jackman took on the role of vigilante monster hunter Gabriel Van Helsing in the hit 2004 horror film but it appears Cruise will be now taking over in a "re-imagining" of the franchise.

Universal Studios bosses have signed a two-year deal with Transformers screenwriting duo Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci, who will pen a new script and Cruise is already attached to star and produce.

The original film also featured Kate Beckinsale. It is not known if she will return for the new movie.

I actually liked the first film even if Dracula was all wrong. Not really a fan of Cruise in the role however but I suppose his involvement will bring more money to the budget which could only be a good thing.

But I did get a copy of DC Cab for Christmas once...

That flick had booby women in it. That saved it... sorta... almost... not really... okay, it's a car wreck in motion film. Like Plan 9.

I've seen The Wraith with Charlie Sheen. I keep blanking it out otherwise.

The movie was all over the place. I liked some ideas with it but Dracula, the climax, the whole curse family thingie, the painting, and okay.. it was almost everything.

Mr. Hyde, Kate in leather, Kate and the subtextual scene with the female vampire, the first fifteen minutes in black & white, and the score were about the only things I enjoyed. See what the movie needs even more to be superior is Kate as a female Vampire wearing almost nothing but her bra and a thong plus with a cape. You have that I'll be there.
