The official website for the Tari Tari television anime series began streaming a two-minute promotional video on Thursday. The video introduces the anime's main characters and reveals that the series will premiere in Japan in July.

Junichi Nishioka, Studio Ghibli's former public relations head and Ghibli Museum's current public relations head, acknowledged on March 27 that Ghibli will not release a feature film this year.

Anime studio Satelight announced at a special event on Wednesday that a plastic model of the Bentenmaru spaceship from the Bodacious Space Pirates (Mōretsu Pirates) television anime series will be released. The studio said that more information will be available in September and also announced that a figure of the high-school-girl-turned-pirate-captain Marika will be offered.

True to the announcement back in December, a new Rurouni Kenshin manga has started up in monthly manga magazine Jump SQ alongside D.Gray-Man, Claymore, and Blue Exorcist.
Bad news for all you folks hoping for a sequel: Rurouni Kenshin - Kinema Version doesn't have much to do with the original series. Think of it as a retelling or a reboot based on the upcoming live-action movie, set to release in August. Starting with Kenshin meeting Kaoru and settling in at the Kamiya Dojo, you'll see plenty of familiar faces and get a fresh take on the story, with clean new art from original author Nobuhiro Watsuki.
