Lots of things aren't anyone's fault. Yes, it's sad that steroids and concussions can cause someone to become irrational but there are plenty of folks that have gone through the same things and haven't hurt their loved ones or themselves. Plenty of them that never got the accolades, money and fame that Jr had.

I agree that things should be done to make sure that more athletes don't end up this way but it is a huge disservice to all the other athletes that have gone through the exact same things and didn't take the cowards way out.

I'm sorry that his family and friends have to go through this. I'm not sorry that a man chose a path in life and couldn't deal with the consequences of his choices.

If the guy is suffering it's his call imo.

No one can know how he felt, but, him.

I feel bad for his family for sure and I hate to think about what they are going through. Normally I have a hard stance against people that commit suicide because I think it is weak selfish thing to do. However with the more facts that come out through studies of what the various steroids, drugs, and concussions do to the human brain, I don't think these guys were anywhere near in their right minds when they committed the acts that took their lives.

I forgot that there were rumors that he attempted suicide a few years ago.

I'm a Rams fan too. Saw their last game in L.A. when the Redskins beat them.

But..

I'm from Oceanside, Ca. Junior and the Seau family are mainstays in our community. Crissakes I went to highschool with some of his family and his dad was our janitor. He'd get on us if we wore our cleats in the locker room but was pretty chill otherwise. This is just fucking sad.

Junior was someone we all looked up to, he even came my freshmen year to present our star senior football player Bryant Westbrook, (who went on to the NFL and who's little brother used to beat up my little brother in our apartment complex). You literally can't go to any school in O'side w/o running into a Seau.

Junior was very giving and would even visit the elementary school where my lil' brother went to, to give back.

Part of me is missing O'side bad and wishes I was back in Cali, the other part of me, the selfish part of me is a bit...thankful I don't have to run into any of the family. What do you say then? Watching the video of his mother who too soon imo talked to the press right after she walked outside his condo was very intense.
