I called the DCnU as being crap when I first heard about it in June of last year -- and to my complete non-surprise, it IS crap!!

Develop a "Spidey-Sense" for this sort of thing and LISTEN TO IT, True Believer. :P

I'd argue that the Batman Mythos (for the most part) is stronger and more entertaining now than it has been since before Morrison got his grimey little paws on it. Wonder Woman is steller at this point and Animal Man and Swamp Thing are actually fascinating books to read. So I wouldn't say it is utter crap. Just the Justice League and Titans stuff. Except for Dark Justice League which is the best League book out there right now.

If that left you speechless I won't even comment on where else it's landed.

Welcome to the Outhouse - where before it even comes out, BW is crap (for milking a great story and flipping Alan Moore the bird) and Avengers vs X-Men is loved (despite it being shamelessly mindless).

You trash my opinion (wrong that it may be) and ridicule it with an example of a book I haven't read and haven't talked about it here (except that I'm not counting on reading it).
And I jump the gun?!

I'm confused how anyone can judge it "crap" if they haven't/won't read it.

I might not have it phrased it well, but IMHO this is pointless, unnecessary and it will either diminish the Watchmen Universe or be a bunch of generic bunch of stories.

This is my expectation, right or wrong it is still to be seen, but in a word ...crap.

But they aren't great characters. After reading the original I never once thought "hey these characters are awesome and should be in more comics." We have the characters they were based on and have more depth and history and people actually care about.

Sure it was a great story for its time but now it shows its age.

Since I was referring to "the Outhouse" and not you - yeah, I'd say that's jumping the gun.
