I don't even know what I'm feeling right now. Not to be hyperbolic or anything, but I don't think I have ever seen a movie that has gotten so much emotion out of me.

This had Whedon's fingers all over it, but definitely in a good way.

Jesus, so many awesome one liners... Goddamn!

And the Hulk... Seriously, give him a new movie NOW! Holy fuck, I couldn't help but be one of those douchebags that claps and cheers, when he showed up for the save on the bike and against that space snake monster. Fuck yeah. FUCK. YEAH.

Oh my god.. My brain is goo right now, even moreso than usual. I can't even get all my thoughts about it in order, but one thing is for sure - best superhero movie ever. The world can end in December, and I will die happy. So so good.

I don't know if anyone but Whedon could've done this justice. So many of the little things were just perfect. You could tell it was made by a comic fan.

I would imagine that the first question asked during the first creative meeting on this project was, "Who are they avenging?".

Like Chris, I'm still trying to get my head around what I'm feeling. I know there's no reason that I personally should feel validated by this movie's awesomeness, or the fact that it's getting universally loved, but I do. This movie proves what I/we here have always known: it's cool to love these characters, and they can speak to EVERYBODY, male female old young geek jock and everyone in between, if they're just treated respectfully and allowed to shine. And mah gawd, did they shine.

Whedon did it, he absolutely did. He brought great dialogue, great action set pieces, and gave everybody, and I mean everybody, from Nick to Hill to Coulson (:( ) to each costumed hero from Cap to Hawkeye (the one place I disagree with most reviews, I really didn't feel he got all that short-changed, they showed just enough character to be Clint, and showed more than enough physical badassery, his parts in the big final battle were great) room to shine. And what he did for the green Goliath...man, Hulk was the absolute show-stopper to a movie that was already cranked to 11. Hulk...smash. Saving Tony and waking him up. The side punch (my theater rolled). One-punching the first giant sky-eel thingie (the theater cheered). Rag-dolling Loki (the place fucking erupted). All topped by Loki waking up to see 6 pissed off heroes staring him down....awesome. Just awesome.

If I could possibly find anything to complain about, anything at all, it would be the simple fact that, no matter how cheesy it would've been (and I know it would've been and Whedon was most assuredly right not to include it), the fanboy in me just wanted to hear Cap say it, just once damn it. But even that omission I can live with because somehow, some way, everyone involved gave me exactly the movie I've been dreaming of and hoping for for over 30 years. It was everything I ever wanted and then some.

6 Captain Americas out of 5. That's right, it was that fucking great.

Sure seemed like it to me, especially when you add her later convo with Hawkeye about she did know what it was like to have yourself sucked out and something else put in.

Not just during the monologue, but during the bit with Banner and the conversation with Clint after his head is cleared. She clearly has a lot of her comic origin.

Anyways, this movie was absolutely fantastic in every way.

This movie was great, You have to see it multiple times to soak everything in, the actors clicked nicely, I can't wait for more

tho "Avengers Assemble" would have been nice, it would not fit into the movie, unless it was said on the side by one of the bystanders that were interview in the end as a joke.

I also would not have minded seeing cap pick up thor's hammer, but i guess they have to save something for the next one

The only reservation I had (a personnel one) was Nick Fury, I got into comics because of Steranko and Fury, Don't get me wrong I have no complaints, Jackson was awesome and he nailed it, I just wanted to see the original Nick done right and I don't know if I ever will at this point.

Glad I wasn't the only one to pick up on that. I'm surprised they didn't bring up Clint's circus childhood.

And I swear I was waiting to hear a slightly modified version of Natasha tricking Clint into the whole Iron Man debacle.
