Okay... maybe not all of you, but most of the Outhousers saw and enjoyed the Avengers. Some folks call it perfection. I liked it a LOT but I don't want to think of it as perfect since I think almost anything could be better.

My question is, what kind of *little* touches would you have liked to see in the Avengers movie that weren't there? Nothing that is a huge difference, just little additions, changes, or deletions.

EDIT: Oh yeah, if you didn't see Avengers... there may be SPOILERS in this thread.

As for me, even though they did expand the MMU (Marvel Movie Universe) with the Avengers, I wish they did so even more. More along the lines of tying it into little Easter eggs for the fans. Mentioning Hank Pym for instance... or tell us where War Machine was during all of this.

Another thing that I think would have been really cool, was to show Iron Man with different armor. It is such a geek thing, but if they showed Iron Man in some kind of underwater gear (perhaps fitting over his normal armor, some articulators and prop and vane boots maybe), which he then sheds after he surfaces would have been a really nice nod to the comics.

The entire back of him. The stripes didn't go all the way around, no star on his back... from behind, he looks like a wall of blue. You're gonna spend all the $$$ on costuming for this massive film, and forget to finish the back half of one of the suits?

That's a reasonable change. At least the stripes so he doesn't look the same back and front.

Small thing? Okay, the scene where everyone is arguing with each other that ends with Banner gripping the magic spear. It seemed to me that it was the spear that was increasing their aggression and making them fight with each other, but I don't know how clear that was to the mainstream audience. I would have liked them to give some mention to this at some point in the movie.

Even smaller thing? Janet Van Dyne.

I agree with that. We were talking a bit about it on the podcast and thinking it possible that the staff held one of the Infinity gems. Since the thing was glowing blue, I was wondering if that was the Mind gem.

I wish they had Ant-Man and Wasp... but it would be difficult introducing them I think.

-Cap's costume. Make it more like the one from the Cap movie as that seemed to work well, or just something better with that helmet.
-Hawkeye should use guns as well as the bow and arrow.
-More hints of the power and purpose behind the invasion during the film.
-Like sd said, something different in the way of the IM armors.
-A "no hope" moment where everything seems lost. The biggest threat in that invasion seemed to come from our own government and the nuclear missile rather than the invading army. There was simply no point where it even seemed like that army could have taken New York, much less the world.

This would have been cool, but the problem with film is that if you introduce them, you're kind of locked into them playing the roles in the future. So I can understand why they weren't there. It would have been cool, though.

I would have had a small shout out to Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, they were founding Avengers so it would have been very cool for them to get a mention. Hopefully we'll finally get to see that long-rumoured Ant-Man movie.
