It was good, the art was tight.

Not crazy about the the slacker, college guy cliche with Jay.
However, Liefeld is an enigma wrapped in a pouch-filled, muscular, footless conundrum.

nah. I thought his work was crap, but it was more that none of the characters were likable.

This.

Yeah, granted we don't know anything about what came before this issue but Joan was being absolutely horrible to Jay. I wouldn't call him a total loser though. He just seems like a guy who is fresh out of college and doesn't know what direction his life should take.

I posted this review like a couple of days ago, but everyone ignored it... :-(

Of the two, I liked Worlds' Finest better. Even with the horrid Power Girl costume. It was just more fun to read. Though Earth 2 wasn't bad at all.

Not a bad first issue. Nice art, story was ok.

Jay's got feet of clay but Alan and Al seem very interesting. All in all more fun than 8 issues of JL

Is Superman really dead or just teleported?

I was wondering that too. Maybe they're echoing the pre-Crisis version where Kara was convinced he was still out there somewhere. At least before he was killed by Prime, IIRC.

I liked it. I'll admit to not being an initial fan of the Jay Garrick redesign, but I'm a fan of alternate universe stories, and this one feels like it'll scratch that particular itch. Between this, World's Finest, and Action Comics, it was a good week for those of us that have been missing the multiverse.

I liked both. Not feeling Power Girl's new costume, don't get me wrong, I don't think she needed to be Titterella anymore, but her new costume just a bit unsightly. (but then again, most of the new ones are.)

That being said, really excited to see Earth 2's development. I'm a big JSA fan.

I hope so, Superman is one of my favrits. Not really diggin DCnU \S/, so it would be nice to have a more familiar take kicking around. There was no body, so there's hope I suppose.

That being said I'm a huge ASS/JSA fan from way back, and Alan Scott is the greatest GL ever, so this title looks like it's going to be a lot of fun.

I actually didn't mind Jay Garrick actually. Yeah, it's not totally what I want to see of the character, but he's not totally horrible as he is now. I loved seeing Al Pratt -- his scenes were just great.

Wonder if this version will have either the full-hood, crazy red wedge, or something new ?
