Another great thing about Thanos is that he wasn't overexposed and defeated a million times between Giffen and Starlin. Seeing him show up always felt like an event because he wasn't jobbed out to Ant-Man or whatever very often. Sure there's the Waid story in Kazar, which is fucking nuts, but for the most part he was kept off the table until there was a story worthy of him.

This is something DC needs to learn about Darkseid. Having him in every book and getting his ass beat all the time has made him a joke.

Pretty sure they traveled into the future, read the Giffen stories, then made him the main boss in the game.

I mean for fuck's sake, Hab...your own thread is asking how you put the Infinity Gauntlet into a movie trilogy!!! Remind me who wrote that again?

Yeah, I gotta go with Chap on the Starlin, Thanos Quest and Infinity Guantlet side of the argument here. Without that Thanos isn't nearly the character and level of threat he is known for being

Does Thanos being in the next movie mean it needs to focus on the Guantlet or is there something else he could be after? I don't know much about Thanos other than seeing him pop up in the universe outside of Avengers/FF from time to time because I didn't really read those books when he was the big bad.

If it was, then I would definitely say it's something they should use to tie the movies together in a small way. I don't think it needs to be the main focus, but just like they did with the cube it could be an element in a couple of them leading up to it.

I'm sure there's plenty of stuff they could do with Thanos, but if you're going to use him as the big bad, I don't see why you wouldn't pull out the big gun and go for the homerun with an adaptation of the Guantlet story line

Quite literally the entirety of the character's history, IMHO:

I didn't say it wasn't, just that it's a crazy story.
