Earth 2 Hawkgirl

"I'm excited for readers to see this new Earth 2 version of Hawkgirl," Robinson told CBR. "As the co-creator of the original Kendra Saunders, I've taken pains to keep the essence of her personality while adding a more two-fisted quality to her as well. I'm also enjoying developing another aspect to her, in that with the absence of Batman, she must also step up and become the great detective of Earth 2. I hope readers will enjoy watching her find her place in this new world as a part of this new team of heroes."

"Earth 2" #4 featuring the debut of Hawkgirl hits stores in July.

I'm not sure if I like the white wings.
However, Liefeld is an enigma wrapped in a pouch-filled, muscular, footless conundrum.

Looks good, but it doesn't make me think Hawkgirl. Looks like it could be a new version of Dove (minus the guns) or a new character.

Agree on the dove comparison.

Yeah, I get Dove with the white wings and blue colors.

If the wings were browns and tans, and the blue switched with red I think it would look more Hawk.

Why is she wearing Jocasta's face for a helmet?

I like the helmet, it looks like an Egyptian depiction of a hawk's head.

25 years later, the creators of Silverhawks realized they forgot to create "the black one"...

"two-fisted"

She kind of looks like Earth Force smushed together.

Yeah, looking at the magnified version, there are subtle elements of the previous Hawk helmets. I like the colors. Maybe the guns are because this version is more of a detective.

More likely it's because a mace just wasn't EXTREME!!!! enough for the DCnU

maybe a gun is easier to holster than a mace

The guns have maces engraved on the grips, and fire mace-shaped bullets...
