SHould I get a PSP?

Postby Doc Jon » Wed May 09, 2012 9:12 pm

Just wanted some portable gaming fun and was thinking of this since it's relatively cheap now and there are certainly enough titles to keep me playing for a while.

No, I don't want to invest in the Vita or the 3DS. I still have my DS and I still play it.

If you think you can get enough gaming value out of a PSP then go for it.

It's great for playing the old school arcade compilations and really good for the pinball ones. You turn the PSP long ways so you have the shape of the tables. The only modern games I really liked for it were the Battlefront Star Wars games. Most other modern games I would just wait till I got home and play on xbox 360.

If it has the titles you like, yeah.

Luckily, a lot of new stuff is still coming out for it. Vita hasn't lit up yet.

My only problem with the system is the lack of the 2nd analog. Glad they fixed it with the Vita.

that's why I mostly buy old school arcade games for it. Most of them only used one joystick or just buttons.

uncharted, mega man, kingdom hearts...

some good games on the psp if you're into them.

But the vita is backwards compatible, it seems like a bad idea to buy last year's model when this year's model does all that and more. I know you said you weren't interested, but you might kick yourself if you go down that road.

I've personally been wanting to buy a 3DS, but I'm holding off until I actually play through all the games I still own and haven't played or finished.
