Did anyone get the impression that that was Marvel's way of getting payback for Hulk losing to Superman in the Marvel VS DC crossover before that? Now bear in mind, Hulk beating Gladiator is plausible as he is badass but I just felt that they made Gladiator look like an idiot the way he fought Hulk.
First off, Gladiator should have been able to speedblitz Hulk to the sun seeing as how he grabbed and took him into orbit in a matter of seconds after Hulk hit him. Also, if Gladiator's heat vision was enough to burn a hole in Hulk's chest, wouldn't he have hit his heart or vital organs and render him immobile before Hulk closes the gap between them and put Gladiator's eyes out? Plus, Hulk just figuring out that Gladiator was vulnerable to radiation out of the blue was just PIS before throwing him into that generator. Gladiator at his best should have knocked Hulk into the moon before Hulk knew what hit him but again I just feel that Marvel deliberately sets the guy up to be a parody of Superman to get knocked around by other characters.
As is always the case with Nth level characters the victor often fluctuate at the whim of the writer. Eventually characters reach a power level that's so extreme no measuring stick can honestly tell them apart.

Exactly my point. Gladiator as I said would have curbstomped Hulk all across the galaxy if he's actually written correctly. I mean if Superman beat him before then Gladiator should be no different.

As Bender said, it depends on the writer.
I think most people would say that Hulk could take Doomsday, and Doomsday killed Supes so...

Doomsday would wreck Hulk in any of his incarnations. Hulk would put up a good fight though but Doomsday is Hulk with Wolverine mixed together.

Folks, keep in mind that thanks to the unending parade of indignities suffered Captain Marvel/SHAZAM and or anyone from the Marvel Family have
not been even remotely cool for the last four or so years.

Underworld Unleashed and Jeff Smith's mini and Ordway's series were all within the last 30 years. You're wrong

Two of the three were massively underwhelming. The other was out of continuity, so it barely counts.

UU was awesome, you shut your hippie mouth.
I'd also add Kingdom Come and Justice, bur since apparently a story/character HAS to be "in-continuity" to be cool...
