It's apparently 180 days until the 2012 election. Who's going to win the presidency, Obama or Romney? Who's going to take the Senate, Democrats or Republicans? Which party takes the House?
Make your predictions. Don't select the ones you want to win. Select the ones you think will win. Be a dispassionate observer and prognosticator, not a partisan hack.
The poll is anonymous. Pick one option for prez, one option for Senate, and one option for House.

All right, I'll go first. I think Obama wins reelection (barely). I also think that Republicans take the Senate (barely) and that Republicans keep the House (but lose significant seats and find themselves with a very slim majority).
Everyone will claim a mandate, but no one will actually have one.

Actually, I take it back. I think Dems hold the Senate even if it is by the VP tiebreaker.

That's very possible. I really am most uncertain about the fate of the Senate.

It's a tough call. No one hated NPWFBH more than me last election. However, while NPWFBH has proven to be completely typical of the modern age of out of control government, he had said the right things lately on internet freedom. On the other hand, republicans have moved away from the fiscal responsibility position which they failed to acton anyway after winning the house and more toward insane social conservatism, to the point where if I voted, I would vote democrat out of spite.
So whatever the opinion of a cynical, anti-government nonvoter like myself counts for, I don't see the republicans doing well. Their nutty religious fervor and anti-liberty stance on social issues is unappealing to all but a rapidly shrinking group of old people and Jesus freaks.
Democrats are no better, mind you, but I think the republicans are actually presenting a more distasteful alternative.
I would vote to abolish the government and start over.

That's just about how 85% of Democrats became Democrats

It's too early for me to really make a strong prediction. I think people are very displeased with the government right now, and neither of the options represent an alternative to the typical politicians. Basically it is a lesser of two evils type of election.

That's called "every single American election for what, the last fifty years, minimum?"

My guess is that Romney only gets votes from two groups: the ignorant and the racist. Any Republican with half a brain must be able to tell by now that except for being rich Romney is not in any way a true Republican.

I won't vote for either one. I won't vote for malevolence over incompetence or for incompetence over malevolence. I wouldn't wish either candidate on anyone.

Gotta agree with Squid. Nobody wins anymore in an American election. Everyone who isn't a politician loses.
