I love sleepy Hollow and Big Fish. Corpse Bride also not so good.

Took me two watches to enjoy Corpse Bride. Disliked it the first time, mostly because I was hoping for another Nightmare Before Christmas. But once I watched it again years later and looked at it as its own movie, I loved it.

Netflix? I noticed that a chunk of it is on there, though not from the beginning. (I assume a lot of it is lost to time.)

I thought Sweeny Todd was the strongest thing Burton's done in a long time.
I was thoroughly disappointed in Alice. I thought it was just a bad film. I'll probably watch this, but maybe I'll wait for the small screen.

Sweeney Todd was great.
Big Fish is my favorite of his movies of the last 10 years, though.
Although those two are probably the only two I liked in that time.

Meh. I saw it when it came out and it was boring. I'm a big fan of musicals but I just didnt enjoy this one. It just didnt have heart. Now I watched the old stage proformace that CBS (i think) aired on tv back in the day starring Angela Lansbury and that was fucking awesome.

I seen some of that. Liked it, much preferred the movie version for my own tastes.

Sweeny Todd was a good film, I wouldn't watch it again, but it was good.
The songs in it were better than most songs in musicals.
The reason I won't watch it, is because it actually disturbed me a little bit. I guess that's a good thing because I'm sure that was an intention of the filmakers.

While Burton is my favorite director I have not enjoyed his latest films. I think he had a great vision but maybe some of the execution has not been great.
