Well, it took Daniel 6 issues but then it started to get good.
Then they announced that Liefeld was taking over the writing :?

True -- Hawkman...wow. If I I'm DC, I'd be sorely tempted to give Carter Hall a long, long, long, long, long, long rest. I'd absolutely run with Katar Hol before I'd even dream of giving Carter Hall another book.

just give the book back to Graymiotti, make it about Carter/Hawkman AND Shiera/Hawkgirl, not just one or the other, and then just get the fuck out of the way. it ain't rocket science, folks. :smt011

I dropped Hawkman after the first issue. Why do they think Tony Daniel can write?

Same here. I read one issue out of curiosity and never went back. Tony Daniel is a terrible writer.

how many of the original titles are left?
However, Liefeld is an enigma wrapped in a pouch-filled, muscular, footless conundrum.

They should've kept Winick on it. He's the reason the book had so much hype when it started.

Even the Winick haters have to give him this one.

BTW, I think everyone here should check out Bubba's "Fire Sale" thread.
