I mean they made one major game where they made somewhere around 30 million, right?

How the hell is 75 million not enough to cover their losses? What the fuck did they do with the money?

I'm about 55 hours into the game and I'm not even out of the Plains of Erathell yet. :shock:

They took a developmental loan to move from Massachusetts to Rhode Island, and they are required to pay the state back following a timetable. They missed some payments because Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning hasn't sold particularly well, and that's the only game they've released to date.

Right, but 75 million to move and produce a couple games with only one being released so far?

Game production is expensive nowadays, and when you consider that they made a pretty massive RPG (with lots of voice acting and input from R.A. Salvatore and Todd MacFarlane) and are working on a MMO, that 75 million can dry up really quick.

So I guess 38 Studios attempted to pay the loan and there was a slight problem.

They gave Rhode Island a bad check. That kind of blows my mind...
