Yes,it was(just watched the entire series).
But....

should be avoided if you have any aversion to blood and definitely should not be watched at 2 AM with the lights off during a thunderstorm.

And if you read the Yui Kotegawa link I posted you will see you two had a few things in common...
1) You both are huge cats fans.
2)are easily annoyed by the display of (animated) boobs
3)both behave like typical Tsunderes

I agree. The death scenes were incredible.

Basilisk's Segawa Remakes Nagai's Cutey Honey Manga

This year's 13th issue of Shueisha's Grand Jump magazine announced on Wednesday that Basilisk manga artist Masaki Segawa will launch a remake of Go Nagai's Cutey Honey in the next issue. Honey VS will start with a 39-page chapter on June 6.
