i'm super-glad DC has FINALLY decided to publish a collected version of Alan Davis (& Mike W. Barr)'s all-too-short 80s run on Detective, but a $40 hardcover for roughly 8 issues (one of which is just part 1 of a 4-part story that isn't completed in the hardcover)?? Jesus, DC...

Seeing Amanda Conner's artwork makes me want it, as she always does fun stuff. But since she's just the cover artist... :-(
Still, I like the Phantom Lady characters, so... but still, so suck that Amanda is not the artist on it...

Same here, pretty much. I'm gonna give it a look on the rack and make my choice then.

Might just stick to the Silk Spectre stuff instead, though. She at least, has bangs.

Yeah I have to admit, not putting the rest of Year Two in there is a bit of a confusing notion. I mean I realize you just want the Davis material, but that's still an odd place to end it.

Like McFarlane won't sell.

Agree completely. That price point puts the book way out of my budget, plus the missing three chapters of Year Two makes it seem incomplete. DC's collection department is less than competent, as ever.
