Sadly,I can't due to economic hardship.Things had been ...difficult for a while and one of the expenses I had to cut had been comics.

Funny enough, I played the game and fell in love with the character in the universe and then heard the announcement that Phil was going to be relaunching the book.

Knowing Phil as a creator and a friend I jumped at the chance to read it and talk about it with him and it really is one of my favorite runs on an indie book in a long time.

Just fantastic stuff.

Yeeeesh! Three issues in, this set up is nuts! Loving the unpredictability of it and the ending for #104 was downright creepy! :shock:

This is some crazy new territory for Jackie and it really does seem like the new team is gonna go all out to eff with his life like no tomorrow. Great issue.

Anyone else reading? Doom, bk?

Dave is on a roll so far.

Loving the whole doppleganger thing and Jackie having to prove himself to jennie has been a fun twist.

Didn't Jeannie was murdered by the also late Uncle Franky at the end of Vol.1?

yup, but the top cow universe went through a bit of a restructuring thanks to the artifacts coming together and Jackie being the only one that remembers how the world used to be.

Yeah, in Artifacts, Jackie reconstructed the world and brought back Jennie to be his wife and took his child with Sarah, Hope, and replaced Jennie as her mother.

David Hine's first issue picked up right from all that. Dude, check it out, you may like it.

I only read the first issue plus I also dropped Witchblade. I just did not like Seeley take on the book which is a shame.

I haven't read Witchblade in years (due to money). But did feel happy to reconnect in Artifacts. BK, pick up the last two issues of Darkness. It's getting really creepy.

That seems to be the case. And she's unaware of it. Only Jackie knows of the old world.

which led to one of the coolest short stories that Ron has ever wrote.

Loved Jackie explaining the new status quo to the gangster he just kills, really awesome stuff.

Man, I swear, I look through reviews of this book since Hine and Haun started and they've been getting praise, damn near perfect reviews. But hardly any forums are discussing the book.

Anyways, another fine issue and a great curve ball ending. The issue focusing on Jennie's increasing madness was fantastic.
