Cry for Justice, which led to the worst character assassination I've ever seen in comics. If you go from where Roy Harper was as of Justice League of America #22 to at the end of the DC Universe...I can honestly say I've never seen the systematic destruction of a character like I saw happen to Roy Harper, with writers actually creating more ways to ensure that the character's path was set so he was destroyed. Worst I've ever seen, and it started there.
A close second is Infinite Crisis, which has somehow gotten a pass over the years for the totality of heinous shit that went down in it because of how much Ted Kord is talked about.
*Sniff, sniff* "Damn it, Diana...If I'd known they would trade us in for a JT Krul-written Captain Atom and "The Savage Hawkman," I'd have let Superboy-Prime destroy all reality.""Superman flies and is really strong...what the fuck else do you need to know?!" -- Hitler, expressing his displeasure about DC rebooting and complaints about continuity
