It's not that the UI isn't intuitive, but I'm used to WoW and even Everquest 10 years ago where you could modify your UI. I have the thumb button on my mouse mapped to ALT for the sole reason of giving me quick access to twice as many abilities without contorting my hand. For some reason, that doesn't work in this game.

Then there are some minor bugs and oversights that will hopefully be fixed soon. When you zone, your chat tab goes back to the default and so do your companion's ability settings. There's no combat log, which is ridiculous. If you right-click stackable items from your inventory into your cargo hold, they won't auto-stack with the ones already in there. When you look in the market and filter things with "Usable by Me" nothing will come up even if there are things you can use.

I JUST dropped underworld trading for Slicing yesterday!

Patch notes say they reduced the rewards to bring it more in line with the other skills. Servers are still down but I assume that means it won't make a profit any more, or at least not a huge profit like it had been giving.

Just an update on the UI stuff. A friend of mine figured out that TOR runs as administrator. So if you have a program like Logitech Setpoint that I use or Ventrilo or whatever that requires keypresses in a game, just run that program as administrator and it works. I now have thumb-button functionality.

Holy thread comeback Outhouse!

OK, so who is still playing this? 6 months in and my (EU) server is approaching dead to the point that none of the Guilds are recruiting.

I also don't like the heavy handed moderating on the forums. Or the managerial nanny-state gaming decisions like restricting the graphic options to very basic so the game looks old and didn't (months after launch) have things like light reflective surfaces.

At the moment I'm thinking of re-subbing to Rift. But I need to find a MMO that keeps me satisfied and one that I'm happy to invest years worth of time. :-(
