except for logic, well-written characterization, or a sensible plot, sure.

An interesting idea that's poorly executed? That's what most comics are...

I've never been an Avengers fan. I haven't read most of these.

I wouldn't say most comics ideas are interesting.

Anything from Kurt Busiek's run is the gold standard for me.

I haven't read all of these stories, but I voted for The Korvac Saga based on the stories I have read.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Time and Time Again is a Superman story.

Anyway, Under Siege or Korvac for me. Hard to decide which. Also, Civil War, Dissembled and Galactic Storm can fuck right off.

Time and Time Again is an excellent Kang story that runs from Avengers 267-269, if I remember correctly.

I'll choose it. Great writing, great art--probably the best Avengers stories are from that era.

Never liked the Council of Kangs (or Tom Palmer's inks - which is probably a factor why I have Assault #2).

My heart nearly stopped beating when I read this.

He inked Big John's runs in the '60s and the '80s, and both were gorgeous in my view. I think he's a phenomenal inker. I'm really surprised you don't like his work.

Is his style not "clean" enough looking? Are you more of a Joe Sinnott kind of guy?

The Celestial Madonna Saga

I couldn't pick one so I went with my first one. I started reading The Avengers with ish #126 and by the time the saga was over, The Avengers were my favorite comic for years.
