I don't know enough about the subject but in mostly all movies that involve blowing up a plan with nukes that how they do it, as long as it's not triggered or heat from the explosion sets it off.

No, if there's an explosive charge, THAT might go off, but the nuclear reaction can't be started unless the bomb is armed deliberately...

The trailers made this movie look pretty bad, at best average. I really loved it though.

The sooner they get it out to home video the sooner they make more money. I'm not even being sarcastic in nature about the obvious cash grab when normally I would be, I can't wait.

"as early as"...?

That's more than a month later than Cap and a little longer than Thor.

Yeah, but there's a good chance Avengers may hang around in theaters a bit longer than those 2

Is it true that Whedon is adding a half hours worth of deleted scene's back into the movie? I thought I read that somewhere.

I wasn't expecting it to come out on DVD/Blu Ray until November because with the way it's going it will probably still be showing theaters in August

That was my impression. I think I've read that Whedon didn't want to do a director's cut but that there's still a lot of extra material that we will get to see at some point.

Nice... looks like they are releasing footage ahead of the home release... Spolers of course if you didn't see the movie...
