It's like all the valid arguements he made in this and other threads are just shot to shit with one mere post.

Thank you for not liking Nextwave!

I just don't get the love. It was awful.

Nextwave? Turrible.
Red? Actually not bad
Doom 2099 and Excalibur? Utterly forgettable
Desolation Jones? Dropped after 1

Planetary? Absofrickinglutely awesome

Come on, man -- I can't STAND Norman Osborn, but that speech he had Osborn give when he put on his Green Goblin costume was AWESOME.

What made it epic was when he had American Eagle beat the living shit out of Bullseye. That was worth its weight in GOLD. :-D :-D

His FF run was ok. But the Kirby = God thing, the whole blackboard come to life as a villain thing. The whole "Jonny grows up for the 1000th time thing... eh.

I just think it was standard comics with a good happy vibe.

His fight sequencing is actually OK! Plus he used the Wrecking Crew!

I said it yesterday: I'm a simple man! What do you want from me? I read comic books in a specially designed den! :smt102 :smt102

So don't go for the collected edition? I've heard nothing but good, but it never seemed appealing.

We shall hold our heads up high! No one is awful every single time. (Though I'm not reading another issue penned by Adam Beechen to find out.) :-D

the people who like it LOVE it. And Immonen's art is gorgeous. But honestly, for a book that's supposed to be funny, I think I laughed once, MAYBE twice in 12 issues. And beyond that, there's just nothing there.

I think Ellis and BKV are the only two writers I have read multiple issues from, and liked everything they've done.

As a matter of fact, they're the only people maybe above 50%.

EDIT: Moore and Morrison are up there as well. I guess also Willingham, but everything none Fables and Jack of Fables have been average at best.
