WizKids: SDCC Exclusive Giant Man HeroClix

WizKids reveals that they will be offering a 2012 Convention Exclusive Marvel HeroClix Giant-Man Super Booster at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Priced at $39.99, Giant-Man also includes a proportionate Ant-Man HeroClix figure... that's invisible! No, really, like he's not there. Set to the scale of Giant-Man, you can't see Henry Pym when he shrinks all the way down to Ant-Man size. As you can see above, there’s a base with Ant-Man on it, and you’ll just have to take our word for it that he's there.

Just some quick mini reviews of the G.I. Joe: Retaliation figures:

Storm Shadow - for those who didn't get Renegades version, GET THIS FIGURE. The articulation and details are just on the figure are amazing. He's got all those lovely features that the Renegades and 30th Anniversary had. The only thing lacking of the figure is accessories. I mean his swords are nice and the new holster is cheap, but it does look cool. Probably my favorite figure of the ones I bought. MUST BUY!

Red Ninja - reuse of the Renegades Storm Shadow. The articulation/details are nice. The one problem along with Storm Shadow is no accessories. Unlike Storm Shadow he has no sword sheeths on his back. Honestly, if you didn't pick Renegades I get him. He's an awesome army builder. MUST BUY!

Cobra Commander - I wasn't a fan of the blue variant, but the all black version does improve the look of this CC who is a hundred times better looking than RoC version. Unlike our two ninja figures he has 25th level articulation. Buyable, but only if you're hungering for an awesome looking CC.

What is GI Joe Retaliation? It's not a movie or something is it?

Hate you. Hate you SOOOO much. :smt011

I've still got to open Zartan, Cobra Troopers (bought two), and the two Joe Troopers. I am disgusted at myself for buying a Ultimate Doc Ock. He's just so horrific. I had heard good things about him, but I'm not seeing it.

Villains like Ock (and Doom & Magneto) should be horrific.

The best figure out of the first wave of G.I. Joe: Retaliation is the Joe Grunt. No spring loaded gimmicks. A TON of accessories. And the best thing of all? He's in the first two waves of the line.

Yes, but Target is pulling them from their stores. Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, and Meijer have been the only places these have been sited.

That's weird, Super Target and Toys R Us were the only stores I could find them in. Picked up a Joe Grunt, Red Ninja, and the Ninja Showdown 3-pack.

Rock figure was pegwarming both stores.

Okay so it appears Target is putting out the first wave. It must have been a few select stores then. One Target of mine isn't carrying it and another is.

The Cobra Trooper shouldn't be as fun given how limited articulation he has, but that parachute man. The fact it actually works and is well made. Damn.. now one can fully recreate a certain scene to the letter now:

The new Joe Trooper is as they said it was, the best figure of the first wave. Yeah his mohawk normal head isn't all too good. But get the tan version of this figure? HOLY hell does he look awesome in person in full get-up *cape and backpack*.

He has the articulation also like most 30th Anniversary Joes to boot as well. He really is the best damn figure of the first wave.

So we reset the action figure isle at the Walmart I work at last night and we got in more superhero comic related toys last night than I have ever seen the whole time I have worked at Walmart.

We got a bunch of new Avengers toys, some really nice 6" Avengers, of which I picked up Loki, Thor, Captain America, and Hawkeye. Lots of new Amazing Spider-Man stuff, and new Batman stuff from Dark Knight Rises and then just some other new Batman toys. The ASM stuff is pretty cool for movie related toys but the DKR toys are some of the shittiest toys I have ever seen in my life. They seriously look like one step above a Happy Meal Toy from McDonalds.

These are the some pics of some of the figures:

Now for all those that were speculating that those pics of the grey/blue Batman Beyond suit might be something that JGL wears in the movie, well speculate no more because this is just a shitty toy variant. There are about a dozen different toys for this movie that will in no way shape or form show up in that movie.
