This thread makes me miss ostranders world building. And lament the lack of world building from today's creators outside a precious few. Too busy killing and raping other peoples work. And yes I know ostrander killed characters. But look what he built. What has, say, brad metzler built? Sfa

The problem today is that when creators do world building, the creators that come behind them start immediately tearing what they did down, instead of building on it, or changing things in a more organic way.

Case in point: Phil Jiminez's Wonder Woman run, which Greg Rucka ravaged in just about three issues.

In Didio's case, it's more like he blew up the building with dynamite and tried to make a new one out of duct tape.
