Without him you wouldn't have Snyder's Batman, or a good aquaman book, or an insane rage kitten which vomits hate blood.
He has truly preceded over one of the finest periods in DC history.

I agree.
Especially the first 5-6 years of his tenure were great.

they've made some decisions that I am not a fan of, but over all I've liked what they have produced

I've never really read a DC comic from the main universe I enjoy. I don't like Geoff Johns at all. But those two are a minor role in why I don't like the comic industry and the venom they get is unjust IMO.

There are times now when I feel like he is throwing darts and just looking to see what sticks. It just does not feel stable in the general DCU, but I agree Snyder Batman has been wonderful.

In all honesty, if it wasn't for the reboot and the existence of the DCnU, I really wouldn't have that much of a problem with them. They have done wonders for the revitalization of characters like Green Lantern, Aquaman, Animal Man, and Swamp Thing.

Dan has tried his darndest to combat the growing trend of the comic book industry, I think the reboot was a good step to try and show fanboys that over emphasizing continuity is not a good thing and does hinder on a bit of creepiness.
Like who cares that hal Jordan swore that Hanes was his underwear of choice in Green Lanter 45 from 1972? It's stuff like that which hurts the industry.

I'm using a hyperbolic argument to make a point.
Certain things aren't important, we don't care that Two-Face was in Arkham the last time we saw him, we just wnat to see him mess stuff up.

Honestly Keb we have an entire thread dedicated towards dissing Dan Didio, and I think it's acceptable to have one giving him recognition without it having to be a dig at another poster. Herald is free to post his opinion here just like everyone else, but I just hope he'll appreciate the spirit of the thread and not turn it into another hate fest.

i know
Its just that in the past 5-7 years continuity has moved from static to very fluid, and I don't really see where people think that it is still a hindrance, if it ever was

I'm buying more DCU books now than I was a year ago, therefore Dan's account is in the positive with me.
