The plot thickens as we find out more and more about the world that Jonathan Ross has created, which is actually pretty original and not as derivative as a lot of people thought. Yes there are elements of X-Men here, but this title is, in my opinion at least, looking at superheroes from a new angle. The idea of superheroes being both a media entity and struggling not to become part of the military industrial complex is a strong one, and it’s going to be fascinating to see the David Tennant lookalike try and resist militarisation. Of course, alongside the big picture stuff is the more immediate story of Tommy and his newfound powers, which nobody seems to have any idea about. The mystery surrounding him continues to fascinate. I also liked that we got a bit of romance, and the AAesque meeting was pretty funny. There’s even more subplots with the grumblings from Quarterback, and I haven’t even mentioned the shocking revelation about Tommy’s dead brother! This book is dense, and it’s well worth a read. Bryan Hitch’s art continues to be just as good as his old stuff too, I think working on a creator-owned property has re-energised him somewhat.

This issue really impressed me. It was coherent, well written, makes me excited for the next issue and the art was engaging. I'm also glad it's a mini-series with a definite end.

Looking forward to more.

I remember when I reviewed the first issue for the Review Group, I said that the political stuff was my least favourite aspect of the story. I have to say that with this issue, I've changed my mind. The overall, almost dystopian, tones of the world of this series I found made for a really great read this issue. I can't wait to see what happens with Tommy and his "dead" (geez, what the hell is going on with that) brother.

He's a famous british TV and radio presenter and notorious comics fan. Kind of like if David Letterman wrote a comic.

He's famous for presenting people with tv's and radios? Wow you guys will let anyone be a celebrity. That sounds like a horrible reality show. Some dude just handing out tv and radios.

Well its nice to see he's now doing something people will care about.

Presenter means host, he's a chat-show host.

 It's like a comedy skit gag where all the British terms are purposely different than the American ones.

Over here, they're known as talk-shows. :P

Ellen and Letterman are actually easy to confuse. They look alike.
