Yeah it was interesting enough for me to want to check out the first issue, I'll say that. More interesting than Legion has been since the new series started.

DCBS hasn't shipped my May books yet, so I still haven't read it.
I heard somewhere that it had some similarities with the Legion and that's what caught my attention.

And from the rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic dept.
We’ve mentioned that after issue twelves of the New 52, as well as every comic getting a Zero Issue to explore earlier stories in the comics’ characters lives, there would be title changes and creator changes across the line.

I’ve just received the word in a slightly circuitous route that, concerning the Legion Of Superheroes book, “everyone but [writer and ex-publisher, Paul] Levitz is off the book.”

With Justice League International being cancelled and replaced with a Zero issue of… something new, who knows what other books will get similar facelifts?

Here’s the issue 12 solicits. Note how it says #13 rather than “next issue”…

http://www.bleedingcool.com/2012/05/25/legion-of-super-changes/

I think this gives credence to the rumors that A) Giffen is coming back, and B) The Legion book was part of the golden parachute agreement to get Levitz out of his president's office at DC. Which is probably the only thing saving this title right now.

Well they're usually given out so the person being kicked out will keep his mouth shut. So I guess Legion was the best way DC could figure out how to do that. Shows you how big a priority Legion is when they basically hand it over to someone for a retirement package. :smt011

And the numbers keep going down, down, down (though only in the triple digits month).

04/2007: SLoSH #28 -- 31,525
04/2007: SLoSH #29 -- 30,906
04/2008: LoSH #41 -- 28,939
---------------------------------------
04/2011: LoSH #12 -- 23,419 (- 1.1%)
05/2011: LoSH #13 -- 23,105 (- 1.3%)
06/2011: LoSH #14 -- 22,600 (- 2.2%)
07/2011: LoSH #15 -- 21,788 (- 3.6%)
08/2011: LoSH #16 -- 21,373 (- 1.9%)
09/2011: LoSH #1 -- 50,402 (+135.8%) [58,325]
10/2011: LoSH #2 -- 47,227 (- 6.3%)
11/2011: LoSH #3 -- 34,979 (- 25.9%)
12/2011: LoSH #4 -- 27,832 (- 20.4%)
01/2012: LoSH #5 -- 25,624 (- 7.9%)
02/2012: LoSH #6 -- 23,428 (- 8.6%)
03/2012: LoSH #7 -- 21,894 (- 6.6%)
04/2012: LoSH #8 -- 21,457 (- 2.0%)
-----------------
6 months: - 54.6%
1 year : - 8.4%
5 years : - 31.3%

Levelling out just above 20K, it appears.[/url]

Not that leveling out at just above 21,000 is any good. Especially if that title is the lowest-selling of the titles that were being published before Flashpoint.

Boy the nostalgia trip has sure worked, hasn't it?

You'd have to be pretty high up in the pecking order to even merit one.
That's why you only hear about top-level executives getting it.

I have pictures of Dan Didio in a gay orgy dressed up as Granny Goodness. Does that count as a corporate secret?

being consistently in the Top 100 is nothing to cry about :-D

Looks like Legion isn't a Top 100 book anymore.
