4400 vs. Heroes vs. Alphas

Postby Doc Jon » Sun Jun 10, 2012 11:55 pm

I have enjoyed all of these shows to various degrees.

They all take some aspects of the X-Men among other superhero staples.

So who you got, Outhouse?

I've never seen the 4400, Heroes actually held my attention until the end, sure the last 2 seasons sucked horribly but they were still mildy entertaining, Alphas bored me after the first episode, think the only other episode i watched was the Lindsey Wagner episode since it in a way tied to Warehouse 13. So i say for me i still prefer heroes

Check out the 4400.

It's got a little Rising Stars, a little X-men and a pretty tight story.

Too bad it never got to finish.

Heroes was interesting, but I really hated how that show fell apart. It still had good moments, but I think I will like Alphas more.

Heroes Season 1 was probably better than Alphas Season 1 though. Then again, they probably had a much much bigger budget.

4400 - one of the few shows I was angry when it was canceled
Alphas - a good fun show that is developing nicely
Heroes - a piece of junk that should have been canceled halfway through the first season

Really? You thought Heroes fell apart in Season 1? Been a while since I've seen it. What was it that you didn't like?

I really like Alpha's, by the end of the season it was exactly what you want an "x-men" like show to be, with your main cast easily trusting and relying on each other and a big curveball thrown into what will be an awesome second season.

I thought Heroes was a great concept that was poorly executed by not having a solid direction and fairly limited creative writers.

4400 was good, but a little too villain of the week of me and I didn't care for the whole Isabelle thing.

I like Alphas and how their abilities and (mostly) realistic.
However, Liefeld is an enigma wrapped in a pouch-filled, muscular, footless conundrum.

I don't remember much of The 4400, but I do remember liking it and wondering what happened to it. Heroes I hated from the beginning. Just terrible storytelling. Alphas was ok. I watched the entire first season waiting for something really interesting to happen, but it never really did. Still, the potential is there.

What I like most is the vulnerability inherent in the characters.

It reminds me of when the X-men could still be taken down by "normal" people, before they all became walking gods.

Only saw a couple of eps of 4400 and was not interested enough to keep watching.
Heroes was bad, but fun and enjoyable for the first season.
I like what I've seen of Alphas, despite it's Canadianess.

Heroes became really awful. I liked the first season okay, but everything after that was garbage.

I'd say 4400 is better but Alphas is just one season in, so we'll see after the second season. Alphas does have more characters I like though.
