Scott Lobdell To Write Superman

The controversial writer confirms he's on one of DC's biggest books.


The Huffington Post confirmed that Scott Lobdell would be writing Superman  this September, confirming the rumor first leaked by Rich "Scoopy Doo" Johnston back in September.  Joining Lobdell on Superman is Kenneth Rocafort, with whom he's currently working on Red Hood and the Outlaws.

Lobdell also commented that he believed Red Hood and the Outlaws to be one of the "five best series in the industry" and that Teen Titans was a fresh and new take on teen heroes.  

Lobdell continues to be tied with Rob Liefeld and Geoff Johns as the writer with the most titles under his control.  Lobdell is leaving Superboy after issue #11.

DC in 2012 kind of reminds me of TNA wrestling. All these old dinosaurs that were once kings and now just make the audience groan and roll their eyes.

Ok, I've enjoyed Superboy and Teen Titans. Red Hood was a disaster.

I'm surprised at the rotating writers on Superman of all books. Has anyone lasted more than three issues on either Superman or Green Arrow so far?

The rotation is surprising and disappointing since I really was starting to enjoy Superman book again.

I hope this means he's still writing Red Hood

I wonder who they will get on art for that one as well. I think Rockafort is a huge talent.

He's the best writer they could hire, considering this title is expected to play second fiddle to Action ...

Superman is supposed to take a back seat to Morrison's run on Action, so it's not too much of a shock.
