I enjoyed the Tensai vs Shamus match.

The backstage bit with Teddy, Ace, Vince, and Vickie was good.

I was not expecting Tensai to beat the shit out of his follower/assistant in the ring when the show came back. That was surprising and violent.

Don't really know why we needed to have Truth talking up Cena, but Show knocking him out made me chuckle a little.

I don't know if these two things really needed a full segment, but whatever.

Oh look, a mixed tag match featuring a mediocre female wrestler, a good female wrestler that needs real competition (which WWE doesn't care about providing), and two comedy guys.

More filler, yay!

Oh, and now after the match a pointless joke at Ricardo's expense that wasn't funny at all.

Otunga kissing ass backstage and looking to try and get Ace's job behind his back was good.

Kofi demanding a shot at Show is good stuff. I don't even mind them making it a cage match considering Show is doing one on Sunday.

I just remembered that Truth got hurt last week, didn't he? He broke his foot or something? That makes way more sense now.

Fantastic promo by Bryan.

"Once you go Bryan, there's no point in tryin'..............awwwwyeah!!!" might be the quote of the year, IMO.

Punk coming out was good stuff, and the segment continued being great with the two of them together. I liked how they debated who was the real sell out or who has changed into an asshole. I feel like Bryan had to fight hard not to laugh at being called goat-faced, but he did well to not crack a smile when Punk said it, though the crowd chanting it nearly got him.

Got worried for a minute when Kane came out and grabbed a mic instead of killing both guys, but then AJ was out right after and continued to bring the crazy in the most awesome way possible. God, she is just fantastic right now. Her facial expressions, the way she turns her personality on a dime, the way she manipulates everyone to the point you have no idea what she's doing, I mean, she literally could not be playing this part better. She could do just about anything and I'd buy it as making sense. The tag match they made for later seems like a bad idea on paper, but I'm sure these four will find a way to make it work and AJ will end up an asset that improves the story somehow instead of it just being a handicap match.

By the way, In the first hour and 15 minutes, it feels like there's been about 15-20 minutes of recaps and replays.

Really glad they got rid of Kali right away. Also really glad they had all three work together to do it, as it makes no sense when it's just the heels or just the faces getting rid of a monster. I don't care if the monster is a fellow face or a fellow heel, if you aren't part of his stable, there's no reason anyone should want to keep a giant around in this sort of match. I hate when a face feels bad for the face monster getting double teamed and saves him or ignores the beat to remain neutral and not attack a fellow face (and it's worse with a heel monster, since heels should almost always make the selfish move to increase their odds of winning).

Anyways, these three guys left are all really good and Christian and Swagger in particular work really well with Shamus in the past on multiple occasions.....and there goes Swagger. I like Ziggler making that pin there. Makes no sense to keep a guy around that might beat you when you can increase your odds, even if it's a guy that you theoretically work with from time to time (though they teased the breakup of that group a few weeks ago, and this just furthers that). Also, that just proves what I was saying a moment ago.

This has been a fun match so far

I half expect Cody to come cost Christian, but I fully expect a Ziggler win at this point. Just makes more sense for him to get the title shot as he's a heel and Christan seems set up to face Cody anyways.

I hope that was Christian faking an injury and not a real issue with him pulling up weird.

Boom, there's Ziggler, and there's the injury coming back into play (pretty sure it was just setting up that earlier, and selling the ankle lock from earlier, which is good news and one of the million reasons Christian is awesome, plus it sets up Cody to ask for his title match against an injured Christian, which is a total Cody move and logical).

I love that Ziggler got a clean win and was also shown as not being at all scared of Shamus on the ramp. There's almost no chance he wins as a last minute replacement, but I hope he does.

Vince with crazy Nat (who deserves better) and then dancing was not so great, but the Ryder face and moment made up for it.

I'm done with Ryback squashing local jobbers.

I'm not interested in Vince and the midget backstage.

Cena and Vince was not particularly great, just kind of there. I think Cena saying that Kofi didn't want his help again makes Kofi look good, even though there's a 0% chance Kofi wins.

Otunga coming back for more insults and then poor Regal, was kind of a waste as well.

So, Clay vs Otunga (a match with no logical build) will happen before the PPV?

I really don't get what they hope to accomplish by dragging Clay's time beating low level guys out this long or how they think they can make him a draw without having him in real feuds for 6 months. :smt102

Kofi getting murdered makes sense, because Show needs to look like a beast in a cage going into the PPV, but I still think it makes Kofi look good for asking for the match, telling Cena to let him handle it on his own, and not giving up and eventually fighting back after Show starts ignoring him despite getting crushed for a while before that and ultimately getting killed more after it.

That was about the best way they could have done this sort of match. There was longer build to it thanks to Show blaming the guys that were happy moments after he was fired. There was a logical reason for the match tonight. Kofi looked like a man who stood up for his friend and who wanted to do things the right way. Show looked like a beast. And it added more fuel to the Cena match on Sunday by seeing Show knock out two guys tonight, and win a cage match.

Good stuff.

I enjoyed the Sin Cara match, but they really need to stop with the lights during the match. It's just so annoying. I was really hoping they'd stop that when he came back.

Anyways, despite bits being a little sloppy, I enjoyed the match.

Wait, so HHH making an appearance is something they need to promote for the PPV? And something worthy of time at the PPV instead of an actual match?

I don't get that at all. That's the sort of thing they should have done tonight, or next week or whatever. :smt102

Wait, Vader?!?!?!?!??!?

That's fucking odd.

I really have no idea what's going on right now or why. I really have no idea how to react to this.

AJ and Punk backstage was great. Again, i have no idea how this will play out either tonight or on Sunday.

That match was well done.

The accidental tag to AJ, how Kane and AJ played it (the skipping and kissing of Kane in particular), the actual wrestling while Punk was there, I mean, that was all just fantastic. The bit where Bryan looked absolutely deranged and she looked terrified, the post match celebration, Kane's reaction, just fantastic stuff.

AJ is just one of the best characters in the company at the moment, and this storyline is just great.

I've think there's just been far too many Vince firing someone moments over the years. Whether as a heel or a face, you know exactly how it's going to play out, and it's just dull at this point. Vince doesn't even seem totally engaged most of the time he's on screen, instead just falling back into the role without much effort whether heel or face.

Show saved the segment, even if it was clear he was going to knock out Vince from the start. I love that he just taunted Vince about having a contract that was going to pay him whether he was there or not. I got to be honest, Show's anger over the stupid gimmicks felt real (moments like that are why he's fantastic as a heel, just like a few weeks ago when he went after Kofi and Cena and the others that were joking around after he got fired). I found him to be very entertaining, is what I guess this boils down to, even if I don't see any chance of him winning this weekend.

Cena coming out all jokey with his recap was less entertaining, but after a nice long run of that stuff, he did a good job pointing out that Show is basically in a position where if he doesn't win all this means nothing. The fire at the end there was nice to see from Cena, with him taunting the hell out of Show.

Vince being ringside for the match on Sunday is not exactly something I'm looking forward to, but saying that Show's performance will impact Ace's job gives me hope that maybe Show can win.

Show accidentally knocking out Vince was not exactly a surprise.

Not a great ending to the show, but not the worst thing ever or anything.

Overall a pretty good show, lots of good stuff, lots of mediocre or bad stuff, but that was more or less expected. I have a hard time having faith that 3 hours every week is a good idea.
