One by one, everyone who has ever been a member of the Justice Society of America begin to unexpectedly disappear. Not only are they disappearing but people are beginning to forget that they even existed! Realizing that a world without the JSA would spell disaster for the future, Booster Gold is forced to step into action. He begins recruiting a new team, led by Aquaman and featuring a group of heroes whose true legacies are only beginning to be written but will never be forgotten, they are the new:
The Justice Society of America

Aquaman (Team Leader): Despite being a founding member of the Justice League and serving on several variations of the team, Aquaman is only now starting to gain the respect he deserves.
Starfire (Pre-Flashpoint): Having only recently returned to Earth, Koriand'r must find her place in the world once again. Being a former Teen Titan she hopes that by joining the Justice Society, she can inspire the next generation of heroes.
Max Mercury: Having only recently escaped the Speed Force, Max Mercury is also trying to find his way in the world but is astonished when he is asked to join the new Justice Society. He is used to being a mentor for other speedsters but now he will have to put those skills to being a mentor for his team.
Blue Beetle (Ted Kord): Ted Kord is in an interesting position...he's dead. At least, he used to be. He remembers being killed but when the previous members of the Justice Society began to disappear, he suddenly woke up. While his best friend couldn't be happier for Ted to be alive, Ted is more concerned with the ramifications of his return. He is working tirelessly to figure out what happened to the original Society but he can't help but wonder what will happen to him if they return.
Booster Gold (Pre-Flashpoint): In order to save the future, Booster Gold has to stop hiding in the shadows of time. By stepping up and recruiting a new Justice Society, Booster may be putting his mission in jeopardy...but what other choice does he have? He must fight alongside this generation of heroes if there will be a future for the next.
Shade: An odd choice to join the new Justice Society, Booster Gold actually sought out the Shade. His longevity and experiences prove invaluable to the team, as he provides knowledge of the original Justice Society, their villains, and a wealth of things strange and occult. Shade isn't necessarily interested in taking the plunge into full-blown heroism but he does take offense to the disappearance of the original Society, particularly the disappearance of Jay Garrick.
Oracle (Pre-Flashpoint): In order to have any hope of finding the "real" Justice Society, the new version turns to a person who will be able to keep them connected to everything that is happening in the world around them.
Dream of the Endless (Daniel Hall): When the previous members of the Justice Society begin disappearing, Daniel Hall is shocked to discover that not only has his father disappeared from the Dreaming but that his mother no longer remembers who either Hector or Daniel are! Daniel reasons that he was not erased from time due to his connection to the Endless but he has no way of knowing how long that will last. Once again entering the mortal world, Daniel joins the new Justice Society to search for his father.
