My Little Pony Fans Make BronyCon Doc Second Best Funded Kickstarter Film Ever

Friendship is $$$$$$ as a project to create a My Little Pony convention documentary rakes in $348,000 on Kickstarter.

Nearly $350 thousand. That's the amount of money Bronies around the world have pledged on Kickstarter to get a documentary made about BronyCon, a gathering of Bronies, which are, as we all know, adult male fans of the My Little Pony cartoon, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Tabloid journalist and brony-in-denial Brendon "I'm Not a Rich Johnston Sock-Puppet" Connelly over at Bleeding Cool gleefully reported this story, which should cause anyone with healthy levels of testosterone to hang their heads in shame is really, really great! Fantastic!

Here at the Outhouse, we love bronies, and we appreciate the appeal of My Little Pony: Friendship is magic. Look, we know it's a little weird, but sexual deviants and comic book fans have long had a large crossover on the Venn diagram of social outcasts. Why fight it it when we can exploit it for delicious unique hits?

Twenty-four days ago we announced our dream of producing a documentary about the phenomenon of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" and its dedicated fans who live its values in their daily lives. Well, not only have thousands of members of the Brony Community and other members of the public come forward to encourage us, enough of them have shown their generosity that we can make an even better film than we ever imagined! They also helped the project become the 2nd most funded film of all time on Kickstarter.
