Finally tried the Lego Batman 2 demo on the 3DS. Keep in mind I've only really played Lego Star Wars III for Lego games, but it seemed pretty typical of a Lego game. That's not a bad thing, but not sure how the folks who played every Lego game would feel. The demo did not go into the city aspects of the game (just a few rooms in a building) so not sure how it goes after that.

I pre-ordered this from Amazon though, so I'll be playing this anyway. :)

IGN's POV

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes Review

LEGO games are cute, funny and easy to jump into, but they've also been around since 2005. Whenever someone wandered by my desk and spied me playing LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, he or she would undoubtedly say "Yup, it's another LEGO game" before wandering off. Trouble is, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes isn't just another LEGO game. It does away with hard-to-judge platforming, its puzzles make sense, and it adds a couple of big things that are sure to become staples for the LEGO franchise moving forward.

The changes come with growing pains, but there's no denying that LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is a great video game.

Gave it 8.5/10

I'm probably picking it up tomorrow on PS3. Count me as the "plays every Lego game" guy (I have every trophy in every Lego game ... that's either very awesome or very sad), and I never get tired of these games.

Yep I'm the same way. Love the Lego games which are just the right level of game play for me since I absolutely suck at FPS and heavy action games.

Lego Batman 2 is pretty good so far only two levels through.

Same progress for me. :)

I really like it. I can tell that traversing the city could be a little clunky, but I'll have to see. I'd have to imagine that they would give us access to the Batmobile, Batplane, etc. to help travel around.

will post this in the videogames thread too...

Funcom working on LEGO Minifigures MMO

Funcom has revealed that it is working on a brand new MMO centred around the LEGO Minifigures franchise.

The company made the revelation on its official site, and stated that it would be pursuing "maximum accessibility" in this latest endeavour.

There WAS a Lego MMO, Lego Universe but it closed down January 31st of this year. I think I understand why they did that now to make room for this since Lego admits their MMO was not attracting a lot of people.
