Sweden deserved something out of that game.

Cue next season and you'll be yelling at your TV for Wegner to sub him off for Chamberlain :P

Gerrard, Welbeck and Walcott shined this game. I'm waiting for the English media to make out Andy Carroll as an overrated hero though.

For Sweden Ibra was painfully ineffective for the most part which annoyed me as a viewer hoping for a good match. Mellberg solidified himself as a legend though, a shame he didn't get a win as well.

I love Mellberg. He plays in Greece.

Yep Olympiakos. Saw him play in May when they came down here.

Pretty impressive for a 34 year old.

I hope he stays. He hasn't given them an answer yet.

He should...he's been winning domestic cups and landing regular Champions League spots in a team has the potential to get past the group stages in the right draw. And lets face it, we all love him being there.

At this stage of his career he's in the perfect team. Despite our rotating manager spot :|

That's true, after his goal I said 'I've always liked Walcott', laughing at myself, he's very inconsistent, but when he's on... he's on.

Mellberg's beard is a legend on it's own.

He was certainly Sweden's best player, but I felt the England defence dealt with him pretty well, even that time when he hilariously beat John Terry in a foot-race, Terry still managed to recover and get the ball back.

He was suffering a bit from the same thing Cristiano Ronaldo does for Portugal, where he's the big man and tries to do everything himself.

Mellberg's beard vs Nocerino's beard.

I'd kill to see that happen this Euro.

I guess, but it seems when he goes up against English teams, Gonzo just fails to deliver what he's truly capable off.
