I don't know whether the last season is the best place to start but, yeah, there's a lot of swearing and stuff in it.

Eureka is ok. It's better conceptually than it is in execution. It gets a little repetitive after a while.

Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and Avatar the Last Airbender are three of my favorite tv shows ever and are all on netflix.

Some of these I'm already watching and thanks for the tips on the rest, folks. I've thought of Breaking Bad because I do want to see it but right now we're looking for more fantasy/sci fi/ adventure.
