Anyone besides the Dan and the Gang sycophants, I mean??

DiDio-era DC was demonstrating this sort of piss-poor mishandling BEFORE they started to bring in the ill-considered '90s Marvel/Image "creators". And those guys' arrival is when things REALLY went to pot.

Clearly, not one of yours, though. :P

Sometimes, it's like Dragon Ball Z. You have to wade through the Gohan/Krillin/Vegeta preliminary bouts before ol' Goku appears to mop things up. 8)

I'm still the only one with the Dan DiDio Seal of Disapproval... 8)

Indeed.

Believe it or not, some fans will be surprised by this.

It's great to see creators speaking out against what wrong with today's editorialy driven comics, especially a legend like Perez.

Well, it's good to know the reason why he left the book. I was enjoying his run. Knowing what's going on just confirms for me why I'm moving more and more over to Marvel.

George Perez "Writing for the big 2 is creatively bankrupt"

More at the link.

Pretty much what I've been saying for a while ,which is why I added my quote in the thread title. Hopefully he begins to work on more creator owned work like Brubaker.
You don't have to like me
You don't have to respect me
But you will LISTEN to me.

I agree. Perez is a legend. And for some suits to treat him like that... Geez why nor just tell him to go elsewhere

It's sad... I used to be a 50/50 Marvel/DC split (with mini's or one shots being the determining factor on which company I bought more books from in any given month) but since Identity Crisis to now the split has been going more and more in Marvel's favor. I'm down to just 6 monthly DC books from 21.

The Didiot has pretty much killed my interest in DC.

Yeah. I've been adding Marvel books and dropping DC. All due to Dan Didildo.

The longer this goes, the more I think the big problem is that the Time-Warner suits are meddling a little too much with editorial.

That actually makes sense. "let's bring back in the guys that were selling 1mil+ units monthly in the 90's to save DC"
