Its weird that we've become a site that, to outsiders, is a site that is all about making fun of nerds and hates comics and nerd stuff.

It seems to me more like we are making fun of the generic press releases we get that every single geek news site out there gets and publishes exactly the same.

And even if we were actually making fun of nerds, it's good to laugh at ourselves sometimes. edit: I see that part was already said once. So I'll also add, to me these articles seem written with enough tongue and cheek that most people should get the joke. The ones that don't... oh well, you can't please everyone.

but in the internet scope of things, who is this article for? People probably just ignore this sort of thing more often than not if they are Firefly fans, and people that aren't Firefly fans wouldn't be interested in the first place.

As a fan of the Firefly show, I found it hilarious.

In the end, there are more than enough generic sites out there that just regurgitate press releases and/or jizz themselves over creators, publishers and sacred cows. Why would we want to be one of those?

I think that many firefly fans would probably see the self-deprecating humor in it. Those that couldn't take a little ballbusting would hate this place for the forum anyway.
