Saw some of Bernie Wrightson's original Frankenstein pages and they're fucking ace. For reference, here's preview art from the first issue:
Justin Jordan and Tradd Moore of Luther Strode were there and they're actually a pair of cool dudes.
Got into Hickman's Secret and Manhattan Projects while browsing "The Hickman trio's wares" (Bodenheim/ Pitarra/ Hickman). I'm not sure how long I'm going to keep buying them, but they're pretty chill series. Doesn't hurt that the creators are cool dudes.
Becky Cloonan was there and had $10 sketches. Let me repeat: $10 SKETCHES.
Met the Immonens and they're just superb human beings. Down-to-Earth, friendly and talented. (Though, I still think that Moving Pictures was kinda boring).

From what I recall, artists like Wrightson originally drew on the paper the size of a regular comic. Then, they worked on a typical comic art board and their work tended to be more detailed because of how they originally drew.
Or something like that.
Anyhoo.....
The Marvel panel at HeroesCon was alright. There was some really odd talk about how Fraction and his wife (if I type it on the fly, I'm likely going to butcher it) IM'd each other, while on the same couch. That led to a joke about them viewing each other via webcam, while fucking. Of course, the moderator had to transition from that with something like "Let's take it from the bedroom and into the movie theater." Oi.
There were some people in the back that might've orgasmed, when they heard that Photon might be in the Captain Marvel series.
Met Roger Landridge and the dude is a class act all the way. Oh, and you should Popeye. Just sayin'
One final note: There was a guy who was ecstatic, when he learned that won a prize that was Stan Lee related. He might be related to this guy:

And I read Frankenstein this weekend. I absolutely loved it. I plan on writing a review on the first issue in a week or two.
